Pinhel Granite Symposium
 The
I PINHEL GRANITE SYMPOSIUM, will elapse in Freixedas from 14 to 26 of July
of 2003 in the installations of the company Granitos e Mármores Marujo, Lda.
On the event will participate: Albano Martins, Alice Tavares, Artur Moreira,
Carlos Barreira, Carlos Marques, José Calisto and Mário Moutinho, all
Sculptors.

Histórica
The potentialities in the use of the
granite as endogenous resource of our region, are faced each time
with bigger value in the local and regional economy, demonstrating
its importance, as activity in development with effect on the
regional job. Inside of the social paper that our company assumes,
it is intended to bet in the accomplishment of an innovative event
in contribution with the Junta de Freguesia de Freixedas, to which
they had also adhered Entities as the City Council of Pinhel and the
Institute of Job and Professional Formation.
The presentation of the Symposium had
place in the São Luís Cine-Theater in Pinhel, on 18 of June, and
counted on the presence of the Mayor of Pinhel, the Government's
representative of Guarda, the Presidente da Junta de Freixedas, Mr.
Domingos Marujo and the Participant Sculptors.
